As a kid, I grew up a Methodist preacher's daughter and my very favorite person to study about was John Wesley. My Sunday School teacher, Miss Allen, gave me a book about John Wesley when I was in her class in 2nd grade. She started me on the road of Wesley and I read everything I could find out about his life. Later my father, sister and I went to the Episcopalian church on St Simon's Island that John and Charles began. We walked through their garden...and stood where they believe his famous sermon took place. It was pretty cool. We go there to visit each time we are down that way.

AuthorI am just a simple United Methodist pastor. I am an elder in the Holston Annual Conference. This blog is my attempt to share the insights that I have gathered from John Wesley's writings and from others more knowledgable than myself in regards to Wesley. I am not a scholar. Perhaps you could best think of me as a practical theologian. Archives
